ICFF 2015

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

May 15-18th, Immerse’s Tami Miller and Leigh Suffian journeyed to NYC to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. ICFF claims to feature “what’s best and what’s next in contemporary design, luxury interiors and high end furniture”.  Kitchen and Bath is a growing segment of the show, so we decided to see what plumbing and hardware vendors were showcasing.

At first we spent hours marveling at the amazing lighting and furniture booths such as these:

Then we realized we needed to get to work and check out some faucets and fixtures! We met with Josef Moscovic, head honcho and lead designer for Franz Viegener. He was on top of the current trend of rose gold faucets and we loved seeing the Casablanca in this beautiful finish. His booth won a “Best in Show” design award!

Wetstyle was showing off their new W2 line, a collection of lower priced freestanding tubs and furniture. The series should be available mid-summer!

We attended a charity event at Macy’s world renowned cooking school, courtesy of Laufen’s Managing Director, Javier Korneluk. Notice Ina Garten and Anthony Bourdain in the alumnae photo gallery!

We listened to designer Roberto Palomba playfully explain how he brought together Laufen, the Swiss plumbing manufacturer and Kartell, the Italian furniture & design house for “Kartell by Laufen”. The collection is a clever mix of furniture, fixtures, and accessories, marrying straight lines fun colors.

They premiered new products and finishes and guests could even build their own faucet and have their picture posted, showing off their “custom” designs!

Watermark also displayed two new collections, the H-Line, a transitional series, (shown incognito amidst a bunch of greenery below), and the Jem, a super blingy Swarovski crystal faucet which will be available in several finishes.

Brizo was previewing the “Rook”, their new bathroom sink faucet series, available with cross and lever handles, in regular and trough versions, in several finishes. We predict another home run for Brizo!

We visited with other wonderful vendors including Gessi, Atlas Hardware/Top Knobs, Lacava, THG, and Rohl, and we plan to have new product soon by all of them. Overall, ICFF was a first class show. The displays were stunning, the show was intimate yet interesting, and we were kept busy for several days. We hope to return next year, and we invite you to join us!
